Sump pump failure in Pleasant Prairie
Back in early March, we received a call from a Pleasant Prairie homeowner who had water in her basement due to a sump pump failure. We received the call at 9:02am and were able to get out to her house within 30 minutes. The pre-mitigation photo, while not showing any standing water, you can see how the water damaged the hardwood floors. The hardwood floors had to be removed along with the baseboards. We were able to drill holes in the walls at the baseboard level to dry everything out rather than having to cut the drywall which would have been more costly. Our crew filled three of our vans with debris resulting from the demo to the floors, baseboards and some wet contents beneath the stairs. We placed 7 air movers and 2 dehumidifiers and drying was completed within a few days. SERVPRO of North Kenosha County is FASTER TO ANY SIZE DISASTER.
